Sick-making loss

Sick-making loss
Przeczytasz w 3 minuty

There are certain things that come with being an athlete and competing in any sport. The worst of those things is losing.

There are a lot of ways you can lose at any sport. Such as losing by alot of points and getting blownout. Giving your all but just not being good enough to win. And then there is the way we lost to Ostrow yesterday!

Yes we were down 20 points and playing very badly (give them a lot of credit though because they were making almost all of their shots) but we turned the game around and got the lead. I am not sure if it was from expending so much energy on the comeback or what but we made some really bad decisions at the end of the game and we lost. Sometimes losses do not bother you that much if you get blown out or you just were not good enough to win, but losing the way we did yesterday makes you sick to your stomach. Losing a game like that sticks with you for a while and you replay everything that happens over and over again. The only positive is that hopefully we can learn from the loss and it will help us to win more games later.

Basketball has always been a first love for me. I grew up in a small town (Hopkins, Michigan) that does not have any stop lights and only about 1000 people in the town. My Father put a basketball in my hands when I was very young and I have loved it ever since. My Dad was my first coach (believe me he is still coaching me today, my parents download the games off the website on the internet and they watch them and he lets me know the things I need to do better) and taught me a lot about basketball very young. How it takes hard work to get better. I remember many Saturday mornings get up very early to go to the gym and work out or even outside in the cold. When I am done playing I would like to be a coach (probably in college in the States) and I will try to teach my players how my father taught me. I believe every basketball player has at my age has had some coach that impacted their life for basketball in a great way, I was lucky that it was my father. It is funny now because my Nephew (sisters son) is 10 years old and he is teaching him the same things he taught me way back then. It makes me laugh to see him doing those drills that I used to do. In the summer time when I go to the gym and need to do some shooting, he will meet me there and rebound for me, always coaching me. I was very lucky to grow up being taught how to play basketball the right way.

Thank you Slask fans for your great support in Ostrow on Sunday. I know their fans thought they were loud but they were nothing compared to you. I will see you all in Orbita on Saturday.
